Does the consumer know more or just as much information as today's Real Estate Agents? And if so, has the traditional Real Estate Agency become the dinosaur.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., February 26, 2009 - Taro Systems, Inc. a leading provider of technology solutions to real estate companies since 1981 is releasing its highly acclaimed enterprise ProGold i2 software system to Freeware. Real Estate Companies can now download a free fully functional ProGold i2 complete front and back office software system with no strings attached.

Look at the facts! Consumers don't need a real estate agent to find the best mortgage rates, assist in the mortgage process, list their property on the internet, find their dream home, negotiate the sale, locally advertise the property, represent their best interest and more. All of these can be found for free on the internet. So why do Real Estate Agencies still exist? The answer lies with the basic understanding that the Real Estate Agencies and Real Estate Agents exist in a complete service based industry. Is the Real Estate agency meeting the service expectations of consumers. You Decide. Most industries pursue repeat and referral business with gusto. Salespeople are chastised and find their jobs on the line if poor communication and sporadic follow-up with customers becomes the norm. However, this is not the case in real estate.

ProGold i2 allows the real estate office to remain competitive and efficient by reducing duplicate data entry. This will facilitate the time necessary to provide exceptional communication between the office, staff, agents in the field and others involved in the real estate transaction. This level of communication is often neglected due to the current inefficiencies within the industry.

After graduating from the University of Michigan, with a Computer Science Degree, Doug Lee CEO and President of Taro Systems and the original programmer of ProGold met his first Real Estate Professional and mentor, Owner William DeMars Sr. of Allstate Properties. Taro's first software application solution was written to collect, track and manage Land Contracts, a form of Self Seller financing. "I would not be surprised if this type of financing returns, especially when you have motivated sellers with buyers that can not qualify for financing due to the current housing crisis. When I started my company there were approximately 225,000 offices nationwide and after the dust is settled I believe their will be less than 40,000 offices today. Let's face it, unless we have a game changer the number of offices and agents will continue to shrink. I believe the game changer is Pro Gold" quoted Lee. Incidentally although Mr DeMars has passed away his real estate office is run by his son and still using our Pro Gold software after 25 years. Not counting Microsoft, what software company maintains relationships for more than a quarter of a century.
