we have items showing up in our GL accounts on the wrong dates. A check that we wrote in 2007 is showing up in 2010. They are all checks written to American Express. See attached ProGold i2 Customer Care |

The American Express checks displayed all have GL ID's dated 1010250007 - 1010250016 meaning the transactiona were created in the G/L on October 25, 2010. Digits 1 and 2 show the year of the ID (which is 10) while digits 3 thru 6 represent the Month and Day (October 25). The G/L ID's indicate the line item entries were created on 25 October 2010 which is the day the entry shows as posted too (Date in the far left column). What date do the actual American Express checks listed currently have on them in the bank account? The ProGold i2 Team |

Got your screenshot. Thank you! Is the Financial Period for 2007 still open? If so, you can make manual G/L adjustment entries for each check and Debit each amount to the Cash G/L account based on the original date of the check and Credit the Expense to the G/L it was expensed to. It is closed. Any other options? There are six of them on 1/12/2011 as well. ProGold i2 Customer Care |

Verify/use the Beginning Balance "As of" date field in the Beginning Balances button under the Chart of Accounts: Main menu => Accounting => Chart of Accounts icon => Beginning Balances button Use this date to post your adjusting entries too. Posting on this date is similar to posting it to history. The ProGold i2 Team |
