Getting message "Can't process a negative check." Trying to pay an agent a referral fee...Listing agent is an owner that we are trying to take a referral from. I have tried doing this as a company deduction as well as from the owner/agent and either way get the error message previously described. I am glad this method of getting help works for you folks...it does not work very well at all for us.Now do I wait for an email or a phone call. What do I do when you call while I am doing something that actually pays? Seems an awful way to treat customers. ProGold i2 Customer Care |

Most likely you have no income or not enough income on the transaction you are applying the deduction too. Or is the deduction amount calculating too high causing the agent's check to be negative? List Side GCI Amount: ? List Agent's Comm amount: ? Deduction amount to agent getting the referral: ? The ProGold i2 Team |

Agent we are taking referral fee from is an owner. We do not cut checks to the owners (JoAnn and I). List side GCI is $9375 I want listing agent (OWNER) commission to be $0.00 like it is in every other transaction where JoAnn or myself are involved. Deduction amount to agent getting the referral is $1875. I do not understand if I couldn't take it from listing agent side, which I understand $0.00 - 1875 is -$1875, why couldn't I take from company in area provided for taking company deductions? I completed printing checks by setting commission amount to $9375 on 'Verify' screen and then didn't print JoAnn's check. However, this screws up a deduction I have set up based on company dollar (ten percent of all company dollars go to a money market account setup to pay pay-roll taxes. If the agent gets no commission, you can't apply an agent deduction as it would create a negative commission for the agent. The procedure here is to give the agent enough commission to absorb the referral fee. Given the circumstances, have the Listing agent earn the amount of the referral fee and apply the agent Personal Referral Fee deduction to the list agent and let it bring the Listing Agent commission to Zero $. Sysyem will porcess a zero dollar check that you can delete from the bank account once you process the commission. This process will also not affect your Company Deduction area Please use the link provided in this e-mail to access (Knowledge Base Article (KBA): Article ID: 4229 Subject: How to Override a Commission Calculation The article contains instructions for overiding the commission calculation in order to control the commission amount provided to the agent on the transaction The ProGold i2 Team |
