I have attached an actual reconciliation to illustrate my problem. When I do the reconciliations for our Escrow account, everything is fine. The Statement of Account always matches the balance on my bank statement after I clear everything. However, the Escrow Account Ledger balance and Escrow Account Journal balance do not match my bank statement and Statement of Account. They are off by $2500. Please tell me very explicitly how and where to find the problem. I didn't understand your last answer. Thank you.

Also, I went back to the very first reconciliation in the system for this
escrow account (Dec. 2004) and it also has a $2500 discrepancy between the
Statement Ending Balance and the Escrow Account Balance and Ledger ending
balance.

The reconciliations prior to that were in a different bank account and I'm
unable to pull up any statement of account. I can only pull up the ledgers
and account balance reports....

Going back, for the period 7/1/2005 to 7/31/2005, It shows an ending balance of $415,572.25.
This should be 92572.25. Not sure what happened there or how to change it, since it doesn't seem to be an editable field....

Does the bank period have an Unresolved Difference? If so, verify the amount in the red Statement Ending Balance field in the upper right with the paper statement for that bank period. If it is wrong, you must Unlock the recon in order to modify it. Change the figure and tab out of the field. Verify the Unres Diff amount (if any). If there is no Unres Diff, lock the period and close it out. Provide a screenshot of the screen if you need to.

Hi,
Yes, there is an unresolved difference, but take a look at the lower left
corner. The math is horribly wrong there. Apparently, I can't edit that.

I started with 07/01/05-07/31/05, uncleared it, and tried to reconcile
again. It still gives me a crazy ending balance of $415,572.25, and an
unresolved difference of $323,000.
I tried to go to the 07/29/05-08/31/05 period and the program would not let
me open it, so I couldn't unclear anything.

Any ideas where to go from here?

Thanks.
