we are having a new server installed in our office over ther weekend. If I remember correctly, the software and data is not located on our server but on the PCs. Is there anything that we need to be aware of when installing the new network server? The are going to copy everything over from the old server to the new server.

Actually, the SQL database is on your server and will need to be transferred to the new server once Pro Gold i2 has been installed on it.

Please perform Step 1 through Step 3 in the article to install Pro Gold i2. Use the link below to initiate the download process:

Perform Step 4 in the article to transfer the SQL database from the old PC to the new PC.

Moving your database is technical in nature. If your technician is not familiar with SQL, we can assist you in transferring the database
from the old PC to the new PC. You will need to have a flash drive with at least 6 GB of free space on it available to physically transfer
the database files. Once Pro Gold i2 and the free Microsoft tool have been installed on the new PC, please submit a support incident
requesting an appointment to transfer the database from the old PC to the new PC.

Note 1: Step 4 contains a link to access the Microsoft website for downloading => SQL Server Management Studio Express 2005
This tool is needed to detach and attach the existing database
The tool has a 32 bit and a 64 Bit version depending on the version of the operating system it will be used on

Note 2: The SQL database conists of two files:
(1) ProGoldSQL_CN1804.mdf is the actual datafile
(2) ProGoldSQL_CN1804_LOG.LDF is the companion logfile.
